Great combo, no?

Anyway, got around to putting in a DVD player, at last. The CD that came
with the 9600XT card does not have a DVD player on it. Neather does the TV
Wonder Pro.. Go figgure.
Anyone got an idea how/which set of drivers on the web site will/has a DVD
player with it?
I have an older 9000 card in the 'ol ladys machine and it came with a DVD
player software.

Running Win XP SP2
P4 2.4

Thanks
jb..

To get the ATI DVD player if it did not come with your board you need to buy
the support CD from ATI for something like ten bucks. There's no way to
download it without a copy of the CD.

You need the original install CD that came with the 9600 card which
will be needed BEFORE ATI will let you download the updated DVD driver
software that runs with the MMC suite. Without the original install CD
your are screwed as far as ATI is concerned but maybe some will post
the image of the original CD but this group does not support such
posting. Request someone to make you a CD (fat chance) or ask the to
post ot alt.binaries.cd.image

The CD that came with my 9600XT had the DVD player. You can download the
program from the website. The only thing the CD is needed for is ownership
verification when you install the program. Installing the program installs
the MPG2 codec so unless you have it from another source you need it. If you
have a DVD player program from the DVD drive that should be all you need.
Personally I don't care for ATI's DVD player program.
