Hello group,

I have a new Sapphire 9600 pro on a newly installed XP pro.
The only card ever installed on this installation is this 9600 card.

I am playing hitman 2 again.
Whenever I (hitman character) run, I see the color of patches on
ground change (blink) dark. As soon as I stop, there is no problem with
colors.
I played it originally on a PCI nvidia graphics card and never had this
problem.

What is going on? How can I stop this?

Thanks,

Navid

I am using "CATALYST Version 03.9". I downloaded the latest driver from the
ATI web site on November 2.

Hi, I have a 9600 Pro too and I have EXACTLY the same problem with
Hitman 2. It seems that the dark patches are actually shadows gone
haywire. If you play the St. Petersburg mission (the 2nd one), you
will notice while walking in front of the main building that your
hitman's shadow gets elongated to become a full house shadow ;-D

I haven't found the solution too as yet. It's not there ALL the time
(thankfully) although it comes and goes pretty often. Irritating, but
playable.

Let me know if you find a solution.

And yes, the game ran fine with my old nVidia Geforce 2 :-(
Not that I'd ever go back!

ATI need to sort out their driver mess.

Thanks,

It is good to know I am not the only one having this problem.
