I'm trying to use the Catalyst 3.8's on it. It's got 768MB PC133 SDRAM, a Duron
1300 (overclocked to 1428 [102Mhz FSB]). 98SE.
400 Watt Powmax powersupply. The 3.3V line appears low (runs at about 2.8V).

DXDIAG indicates AGP Texture Accleration is unavailable. SmartGART always boots
w/AGP Reads/Writes disabled, then when I re-test it enables AGP Reads/Writes,
reboots and disables them again. Aaaargggggggghhhhhhhhh.

1) Boot ya macvhine and press delete to enter bios
Set AGP Aperture to 128, Drive Value to Auto and Fast-Writes to Disabled
2) Run DxDiag and under Display Properties make sure Hardware Acceleration
is set to maximum
The fact that the option to disable Texture Acceleration is greyed out
DOESNT mean its not working.
3) DON'T enable Fast-Writes as 9 times out of 10 it makes your PC unstable
and gives next to no performance boost.
- to enable FW you have to do it in the Mobo Bios AND the Catalyst Control
Panel.
(But dont say you weren't warned)
4) Use the 3.7s - most stable and compatible driver ATI have produced
(which isnt saying much!!)

Does your mobo support AGP x 4????, it is important to install VIA4in1
before graphics card driver installation
