9500 Pro nvidia equivalent?

Ive read all the sometime confuing reviews. I understand that the
bottom line is that thre Radeon 9500 Pro is a stellar but dicontinued
product - better choice than 9600. However, not clear if the
consensus is that there really isnt an Nvidia equivalent. I read that
they come close, but not better.

I would say it's the 5600 ultra

Without using AA and Aniso the GF4 4600 and the 9500 Pro perform similarly,
and the FX 5600 tends to fall in around the level of the GF4 4200. Using AA
and/or Aniso puts the 9500 Pro ahead of anything from Nvidia except the
5800/5900 lines.

Better choice now is 9700 np or better
