I was in a hurry to get to my information on my old hard
drive and to cheap to buy PC Relocator or something like
it. I added my old hard drive running Win95 to my
computer running Win2000. Then because I needed access to
my old hard drive, I converted it to NTFS. Now, I've
found how to properly convert my old hard drive to Win2000
through the Winnt32 command line, but I've already
converted it to NTFS. What do I do now?

To do a clean install, either boot the Windows 2000 install CD-Rom or setup
disks. The set of four install disks can be created from your Windows 2000
CD-Rom; change to the \bootdisk directory on the CD-Rom and execute
makeboot.exe (from dos) or makebt32.exe (from 32 bit) and follow the
prompts.

When you get to the point, delete the existing NTFS and or other partitions
found. After you delete the partition(s) abort the install, then again
restart the pc booting the CD-Rom or setup disks to avoid unexpected drive
letter assignments with your new install.

My problem is not how to format the drive to do a clean
install. My problem is that to upgrade Win95, you run
Winnt32 from the command line. This saves your settings,
etc. to some file. It then asks for Win2000 disks or XP
disks, whatever you want to upgrade to. At that point,
2000 will ask what type of file system you would like. I
am just wondering if I can still follow these upgrade
steps if I have already converted my 95 drive to NTFS.
Thankyou.

AFAIK you need to start the install from within win9x which you obviously no
longer can do.

Save yourself some time and trouble, given that you'll more than likely end
up with an unstable OS with all the remnants/ corruption left behind from
the upgrade. Best to blow it all away and go for the clean install.

Check the pc, mb or hardware manufacturer's web site for the latest bios and
or Windows 2000 drivers for your devices.
