A 17TH-CENTURY firewater, more than two spoonfuls of which was said to be enough to kill a grown man, is to be revived by a whisky distillery in Scotland. A single drop of the ancient drink of “usquebaugh-baul” was described by the travel writer Martin Martin in 1695 as powerful enough to affect “all members of the body”. He added: “Two spoonfuls of this last liquor is a sufficient dose; if any man should exceed this, it would presently stop his breath, and endanger his life.”

I'll have two bottles please ... :D

Cor, that must be powerful stuff!

Two drops please :D

Im surprised the first batch will be allowed to be sold to be honest. I guess the laws in the states are differnet to here. 92% is really a death drink, the body wouldnt be able to handle it. Even with water in it dont dilute the alcohol content just the taste of it.

I wonder if its worth buying a decent bottle now and never opening it. Just pass it down to Kids/Grandkids and so on. Nice little money maker!

is it your round

So being a real ale fan drinking 5% to 9% ale seems not so much fun anymore.:thumb: :D :D:cool:
So how much do you need to drink to get plissed, then:eek: :D:D

I think a bottle or two of Meths will be a lot cheaper to buy TD

Don't think we'll get a look-see at any of it ... they have probably sold every bottle already. :(

:D

free beer

Muckshifter, meths will only pickle your kidneys even quicker.
May be see when your local supermarket is doing a wine/beer tasting seesion/s, i often find that to be a cheap way of getting legless:o :D

Whao, thats some strong stuff, i wonder where you can get it. just have to wait 10 years for it finish.

i wonder if the people that buy it will have the guts to actually try it rather than just sticking it in a cupboard
