Someone in our lab hit a sequence on the keyboard and
caused the entire windows environment to rotate on the
screen 90 degrees. I was not even aware that windows could
do this. does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Thanks

Lazy bones - just turn the monitor on its side!

Seriously, many video drivers offer the ability to rotate the image on your
monitor, and these drivers may even let you do this by hitting a certain key
combination.

Right-click a blank area of your desktop and select Properties from the
context menu. Now select the Settings tab, and click the Advanced button. Go
through the properties sheets of your video driver until you arrive at the
setting you need to change.

Pretty Amusing!

You might want to take a look at the video driver settings, and make
sure the correct driver is loaded, and see if there is a 'rotate image
90 degrees' option.

In the past I have seen some displays that can be swiveled 90 degrees to
allow a full page of text to be displayed (portrait mode). Perhaps the
driver supports this.

(Many years ago I saw a joke tool that inverted the screen image. We
loaded it on a person's computer at work and had em running with the
monitor upside down for about an hour before we finally broke down and
admitted what we had done amidst much laughter.)
