8800 GTS on Vista RC2 x64 Drivers?

I'm about to get this great card in a few days. I know there are no real
Vista drivers yet. Have heard some have been able to install the XP drivers
and get some basic functionality with the card, e.g. widescreen resolution -
but no Aero. I can live without the Aero for a time, but VGA resolutions
don't look great on a 30" widescreen with a native of 2560 x 1600. Would
like to know if anyone else has been able to get the latest XP x64 drivers
to install on Vista64, how they did it and the results.

I don't think there is any 8800 drivers for Vista.

I guest if you buy that card, you will have to get used to VGA on you 30"
until at least Jan07....... That was what kept me from buying the 8800GTX
to replace my 1950XTX......

ou might want to to try the Unreleased NVIDIA 96.47 drivers from the
following link.
Some user have reprorted that they fixed Vista NVIDIA RTM release problems
that they were having.

I can only find 96.46 and those are x86 only.

Sorry about that, however, I see that they have 97.44 Vista 64 test drivers.

Unfortunately, that one doesn't list the 8800.

3 devices are holding me up for Vista, 2 of which were being touted
for Vista.
1. nVidia 800GTX
2. eVGA 680i motherboard
3. 3Ware 9590SE

I wanted to mess around with my MSDN Vista and have it down before I
installed a fresh retail version in January.
