Hello!

I am considering getting the 8500DV for it's video input features but how
good is it with games? I will have to remove my GeForce 4 card to put this
one in.

Thanks,
Brian

GF4 Ti? or GF4 MX?

The 8500 is supposed to far superior to the GF4 MX's, but is outclassed by
the Ti's.

The best solution is the Vivo GF4 Ti's IMO.

Well I have an 8500DV and i cant complain
it runs all my games flawlessly from return to castle woolfenstein to CFS3
Unreal and the Need for speed Porsche unleash and the video editing is
pretty
Good too.

Mine works great with games and I can't even run mine at full speed as
My mobo only supports AGP 2x!

I have even tryed overclocking and that 2x bottleneck is the only
problem. It runs great. I even matched it against GeForce 3 ti 500
64MB and it outclassed it by a mile.

Mine does okay in games running at 4x with an XP1800+ CPU. I
can play Neverwinter Nights with all of the effects cranked
up. Might start showing its age with the next generation of
games, tho. I just installed Star Wars Galaxies and there's
a good amount of lag in some areas. Don't know if that's due
to server lag, maxed CPU, not enough RAM, or the video card
just yet. Haven't tested it enough.
