Hello,

Originally I had a 4.5gig drive. Used Rawread/Rawwrite to save the image.
When I reloaded this to a different new drive ( 80gig) windows xp still sees
the capacity at nearly full and reports a space shortage. It still thinks
its the original drive I had in place. How do I rectify this problem for it
to see the 80 gig drive.
The BIOS sees the drive as an 80gig drive when booting.
help...!

If Rawread/Rawwrite does not have the capability of sizing
partitions and just copies the image file back to the HD, then
find an imaging application that does, such as Acronis TruImage.
With TruImage, for example, the image file can be transferred
to any re-sizing of the partition, up to the capacity of the HD,
so long as the minimum size is no smaller than the original.

This is correct behavior. You'll need to use something to resize your
partition.

Your clone program copied the 4.5 gb drive exactly as it was.. a 4.5gb
partition.. use Norton Ghost or Acronis TrueImage to clone the image.. at
least you can copy the contents of a 4.5 gb drive into any size of partition
that you specify..
