80G hd to external drive question

I want to install my 80G Maxtor HD into an external USB 2.0 adapter. I am using W2K. Is there
any procedure that I should follow. The information that came with the adapter was vague at best
on this subject.

Install the drive into the enclosure.
Turn it on.
Plug in the USB cable.

That should do it. Win2k already comes with USB mass storage drivers
built-in.
