Michael

I have an AsusP2B-S that I would like to get running again. Set it up with
one WD 80 gig ultra ata drive as the only disk in the computer. primary ide
port, scsi bios disabled. LBA enabled. Autodetect hangs in BIOS. Is this
drive ok with this motherboard?

if the wd hdd is the only device on that ide channel then remove the
master/slave jumper.

No it's not OK. Your motherboard's BIOS cannot recognize harddrives that
large.

Sure it can. Up to 128GB, you need a new bios version though (I believe
at least 1014 beta 1, but not sure, just get the newest beta).
