I have a stand alone server that I am using for studying
for MS tests on. Right now I have it setup as a DC
running AD and DNS. It is not connected to the internet
or any other computers. I keep getting 7062 errors
sayign that DNS packets are addressed to it's self. I
don't have any forwarders ot root hints setup. Any ideas?

Setting up a forwarder should get rid of it.

I'm assuming you have one NIC in the machine and DNS is configed to listen
to that NIC.

Yes I have one NIC and the machine's DNS is set to it's
self. However I'm not connected to anything to forward
to - Just a stand alone box.
