7-zip question

Is there a way to set zip as default "compress to" format instead of 7z, so
that instead of "add to <foldernamt.7z>" i get <foldername.zip> option?

I don't see any setting for default format. At least in the version that
I have (3.12). Instead, the compress-to dialog starts with the format (and
other parameters) last used. So if I use 7-zip to make a zip, then that's
how the dialog shows the next time, with zip initially selected.
