I have created a simple slides of JPG pictures with MP3 audio as its
background, converted into DV-AVI format and found that it accumulates 1.3GB
of disk space. How can I optimize this? Meaning if I will continue doing
this and I made 20mins and will take ~4GB! Need help!

You are using an extension that is used when image quality is important.
DV-AVI does minimal compression, and is not user adjustable. As posted
earlier, an hour of DV-AVi is approximately 13GB.

I want to convert it into AVI since this is the only format that my CD
Writer Software identifies (Nero Vision Express). Is there no other way?

Given what you have stated, then the answer is no. You should buy CD
authoring software that supports more formats for import if you are
concerned about disk space, or simply buy a large HDD and install it as a
second drive.

Hello,

Nero Vision Express version 3 can import the following formats...

ASF, AVI, DAT (VCD), DV, DVR-MS, MPeg, MPG, MPE, MP4, ND (Nero Digital), VOB
and WMV

Perhaps you need to upgrade from an earlier version.
