67 pages open up when I click on an email address????????

I have just got a new PC, with Windows xp and outlook express 6. I have set
it up to my hotmail account, like I did with my old pc and it went and got
all my mail, but when I want to send an email by clicking on a link, I get 67
windows opening up. Does anyone know whats going on? can anyone advise?

Open IE -> Tools menu -> clic Internet Options -> clic tab "Programs".
From the E-mail dropdown list, choose another mail client and click Apply.
Re-do the procedure and set your preferred email client again.
Close and then restart IE.
