Might I ask what you think a 64bit processor 'offers'...
The 'key' of a 64bit processor, is that it has a wider address bus, allowing
more memory to be addressed. Hence with an OS like the 64bit version of
W2003 server, you can have data blocks in memory several GB in size.
Potentially (as was done in the early days of the 32bit processors), a 64bit
'core', could be built to attach to a 32bit motherboard, but it will have to
do all it's data transactions in two parts, reducing it's speed, and the
maximum address range, will be limited to the size supported by the 32bit
board.
The impressive thing about the new AMD 64 bit processors, is that they are
'competitive' with the fastest 32bit chips, running 32bit software.
No, your board will not run a 64bit chip.

Best Wishes
