I have a program that occupies the full screen in 640x480 resolution
used in Windows NT 4.

Now I have upgraded the OS to Windows XP pro the same program occupies
less than the full screen as XP runs 800x600 resolution (or higher).
The program has no feature to make it expand to the full screen.

I have tried to use the compatability mode in XP to run the program in
640x480 mode, an it will, but XP seems to magnify the screen area and I
have to drag the opened program window into position every time I open
it before I can use it.

Now for the Question :--
Is there a freeware program that will make XP run in true 640x480 mode
and open the program so that it runs full screen.

better reply would you would get in "microsoft.public.windowspx.*"

Yes,

You can use 640x480. Just click on advanced at Settings, and then on
Graphiccard, there is a context menu.

Just look carefully, I am sure you will find...
