64 bit laptop

Is there a disadvantage to buy a 64 bit laptop, over a Pentium 32 bit or AMD
32bit ?

I thought that AMD Turion 64 handles both 32 and 64 bit.

Price is the only thing I can imagine. Other, yes. all 64bit processors
are compatible with 32bit programming.
