How do I know if my computer is a good canidate for running vista 64 bit?
Describe your hardware configuration here.
Also bear in the mind the possibility that you may not be able to find
64-bit drivers for things like any scanner and printers you use,
especially if they are a few years old.
Why do you want to run the 64-bit version? It has two *possible*
advantages for you:
1. Better performance, but mostly only if you run 64-bit applications.
Since there are very few 64-bit applications available yet, improved
performance is more of a potential advantage than a current one.
2. It can use more than the (approx.) 3.1GB of RAM that 32-bit Vista
can. However, few people can make effective use of more that 3GB of
RAM. Unless you run particularly memory-hungry programs, like
video-editing or photo-editing, this won't mean much to you either.
