The ex-Chief Executive of Northern Rock is to get £760,000 "severance" pay. It will be paid at a rate of £63,333 per month for 12 months but the figure COULD be reduced if he takes another job with a salary of £20,000 or more per year !!

I'm sure he'll be looking around for another job in the next 12 months - would you?

The bank lost £167.6 million last year so what's another £760,000?

I take it that is a joke...

Fraid not. As usual, the MOST ridiculous things turn out to be true. ;)

No joke and no suprise .

The bigger the disaster you create and the more it costs decent folk the bigger your payout .

An guess what most of those sh**heads went to public schools and have university degrees and profesional qualifications by the bucket load .

It seems that these people are members of an elite club. They all know each other, they have been to the same school. They have played ruger/football/rowing/polo etc together. So if they put a foot wrong they are given a helping hand to get back to the trough. So it would seem that they cannot go wrong. If their bussiness go down the drain they trouser thousands Meanwhile their employees lose their jobs and houses, and share holders have a handful of worthless paper to flap about. A good example is terminal 5s fiasco,so far nobody is to blame, can you believe that?
