Can word procesor and spreadsheet be selectively installed?

Or does the user have to install all four applications?

NO, all four applications are installed at once. There is no way, in the free
version, to de-select anything. This may not be true in the paid version, but
that is an unknown.

Hope this answers your question.

Thanks for the info Bill. It does indeed very clearly answer my
question.

I have been using 602 for a couple of years. I install the package and
remove all the components except for the spreadsheet.

I delete the files and scour the registry for references to the removed
files.

The programs themselves function fine after the seperation.

looking at the screenshot ,they have updated to a
MSoffice2003 clone, good to see.

I take it that it STILL has to be registered to get
functionality out of it/

yes, you have 30 days to register, i dont remember having to register the old
version.

This new version 4 appears to be SHAREWARE... Not Freeware... Pity... It
looks like another program has gone Shareware!

Looks like there is a freeware version, with somewhat less
functionality:

From http://www.software602.com/products/pcs/trial.html :

Thank you for choosing 602PC SUITE. Please be aware that the License ID for
PC SUITE 2001 or older will not work with 602PC SUITE 4.0. This download can
be used as:

- Freeware version limited to 3 users
- Trial version with 30 day expiration
- Mutli-user version with purchased Registration Key

Looks like there is a freeware version, with somewhat less functionality:

Less functionality is right! Also, after I found the extent of the crippling
and uninstalled, I had a terrible time getting rid of entries in the registry
that the uninstall didn't erase. In particular, the (now nonexistent) 602 held
on to its association with .doc files. I had to force a change with the Open
Office modify program -- the Windows file folder association utility didn't
work.
