Hello,

look at this:
http://groups.google.de/group/micro...09a7d74?lnk=st&q=HelpNavigator+AssociateIndex

The solution is also known since ages:
http://www.help-info.de/en/Visual_Basic_net/vbnet_faq.htm

But what does Microsoft? Describes the bugs resulting misbehavior being the
"right" behavior:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.helpnavigator.aspx

Quote: "The Help file opens to the index entry for the first letter of a
specified topic."

And I thought the following was just a joke:
Q: How many Microsoft Programmers does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They declare darkness the standard.

Maybe the fact that the help system has been replaced by something else and
that this is all totally obselete might have some bearing on the matter.

I don't know for sure but I don't think Ford are still interested in
improving the Model-T.

Bob,
Maybe the fact that the help system has been replaced by something else and
that this is all totally obselete might have some bearing on the matter.

Replaced by what? Nothing? Bingo! (Or just tell me there is any outofthebox
help-system with WPF, I'm listening.)

Which end-user help system is used by applications on vista? Something
different than chm-help? WinHelp died, but not HtmlHelp -- and the VS
document-explorer help is only intended for development environments.

This may be of some use to you:

There are several reasonably cheap options for commercial programs that do
the job in a more or less RAD fashion.
