5751 won't hold!

When I try to update the file definitions it shows it updated from 5727 to
5751 but it keeps doing that each time. I have deleted all temp files both
internet and windows temp and re booted and still this keeps happening. Any
ideas?

Ensure that you are updating under a Administrator account, Microsoft
AntiSpyware BETA 1 does not support limited user accounts.

You could uninstall Microsoft AntiSpyware, and reinstall it to a non-default
location such as c:\msas and try updating again.

Hopefully, the thing is, this is how MSAS was designed originally to work as
a single user application, but since it was purchased from the original
developer GIANT, it went into beta 1 21 days after, so there is still very
much to expect in terms of functionality and maintenance.

Check what version of the program you are on, under Help, about.

If you are not on .615, download again and update.

Thanks Bill...that did the trick! I was running version 613. Uninstalling
and downloading latest version (615) fixed it.

The tipoff for me was the particular def version you were stuck on.

There were a couple of versions--613 and 614 that had issues--they were very
quickly replaced by 615, but clearly some installs still happened.
