5744 missing 1 gig of memory

I loaded vista 5744 x86 tonight and saw the it gave me 3 gig of system memory
when i have 4 gig. on my vista x64 on this same computer shows the full 4
gigs of system memory. Is this normal or what?
 
I believe that this is normal. 32bit does not use more than 3gigs of
memory...

I may be wrong on this, but I believe others have stated this as well
 
You are correct. The ram shown in System Properties may be further reduced
by settings in the BIOS. On my box x86 shows 2.3GB (typical with SLI mobos)
and x64 shows all 4GB.
