5729 def's don't stick well

After the .614 upgrade I got the 5729 def's. They were installed and were
shown in Help, About.
But after restarting MSAS it was back again to 5727. After upgrading the
def's about 5 times they now seem to stick. But the Autoupdater still
doesn't feel it, it keeps reïnstalling 5729.

Please MS, apply more glue to the spyware definitions :)

Ok, I just installed build 614 of MSAS on my laptop, the definitions was
upgraded to 5727 on build 613. but when I checked the help about > Microsoft
AntiSpyware, under Microsoft AntiSpyware System Information: it said the
current definition is 5717. I did a manual update (File > Check for Updates)
on the dialogue it said upgrading from definitions 5727 to 5729.

Its definitely a bug in the display information.

You must check this within MSAS folder.
My help-about says 5729 but this is not true.

One other thing is if MS has splitted these files and
using delta definition files, but I cannot see it.

If it is june 9 then ver 5725.

In my case both .gcd files are dated june 16 .
The errors.log is abacadabra to me but there is something about "Object
variable or With block variable not set" in it around the time I had trouble
making the update stick...

Well, I stop worrying and leave this to the developers.

Andre,

Please try updating the 5729 and tell us what happens.

|I have definitions 5729, its there, no problems, its the bug from 613. You
| have to look at build 614 as two versions, the 1 released Friday June 24
is

Hi Guys,
1) where 2 find "release June 25 (Saturday) is good" :-)
MS page still shows 6/24/2005
2) the bad 24 June release works fine on my XP Pro SP 2 (..let's say
correctly displaying defs 5729
BUT..
3) on win2000 Pro SP 4 the oly thing it does - manual update from 5725 to
5729 and manual scan.
- MAS always starts from Install Assistant
- AutoUpdate not working (resets to inactive after exiting)
- Schedule impossible to setup (reset "to nothing" on exit)
I'v tried update/uninstall/upgrade.... to no avail
TIA

Andre,

The download being offered is still from Friday and has the same
bug. Where can I find the *new* build 614?
