Now this is strange. When I had definitions 5709 no spyware was found in 2
scans. Now with definitions 5711 after scan I have unins000.exe found in
SpywareBlaster directory as spyware. This is freaking me out.

Stay cool for a bit and lets try to sort this out--can you check out the
actual definitions in place on your drive, using the KB article?

Reading down, I'm sorry I didn't take that bet. I'm not sorry I didn't rise
to the betax bait, though!

Ed - I've scanned using 5711 definitions, and this false positive is gone
for me. Here are the files I have in place:

That should fix it. An easier method would be to simply delete the two
files involved in the defiinitions, though.

Well I completely uninstalled MSAS last night deleted the program directory
cleaned up the registry and got rid of any trace of MSAS and reinstalled it
again and then went online and manually updated to 5711 defs. Did a scan and
there was no more false positive results. Then I checked manual update again
and it kept trying to install 5711 over and over again. I gave up and went
to sleep. This morning I manually checked for updates again but this time it
did not say it was updating but my connection manager showed that something
was down loading and then it said all was up to date. Further manual checks
showed I was up to date. I am guessing it was a server issue. Anyway all is
well now.

Glad it all worked in the end. I probably need to re-think my "delete the
files" advice--several people had some trouble after following that this
time.

So far so good right now Bill. No problems. It must have been the Definition
servers were flakey last night.
