57 web pages opening - help!

Just recently, if I click on a link from a website, I suddenly get dozens of
web pages trying to open up (57 last time), wit the title
C:\Program%20Files\Microsoft%20Office\OFFICE11\INTLBAND.HTM.

It happens maybe once every 10 clicks and not from the same web site. I have
to wait for them all to open - all with the message "page not found" to do
anything. I've virus checked my machine and there's nothing and I haven't
added any new software or anything. It's driving me frantic!

OS is XP, Amd Ath1800, Office 2003, 512RAM, 160G HDD
