I'm looking at the FX5600 Ultra for £149 (dabs)
or 9600pro sapphire about £140
or 9700 for about £180.
(FX5800 for £230)
I assumed this card is better than the 9600pro, but not better than the
9700. I'm tending towards the 9700...just looking for opinions on 9700 vs
5600 ultra.
then again..everything beats the TNT M64 im currently using haha

Thanks for your input! look forward to reading them replies

Am i right in my thinking that the 9700pro is exactly the same as the 9700
but higher clock speeds?
and i can get the 9800np for about £200. £20 more than the 9700np

Thanks for all your help!

If you can make the stretch get the 9800np - it's just as fast as a 9700Pro
according to FiringSquad:

http://firingsquad.gamers.com/hardware/ati_radeon_9800/default.asp

And 9700Pro's still cost around £240!

I just got a Sapphire 9800np and I'm well chuffed with it :)

OC'd it to 330/300 (from 325/290) no probs just as little test, and tempted
to actually push it some as many are reporting that the Saphire 9800's can
be flashed to Pro's despite their 3.3ns memory!

Not sure I have the bottle for that tho :)

The 9800 also has improved HyperZ III and the new F-Buffer etc etc

Between the 9600Pro, 9700 and 5600Ultra, the 9600Pro can be had for £120 so
wins from a value perspective and the 9700 is only £20 or so more than the
5600U and wins from a performance perspective.
