:p

Took me ages to read as I kept on laughing .

I thought that was amazing the first time I saw it - 5GHz from a P4 is massive - but look at the trouble they had to go to to achieve it.

I'm building a new system in the spring - based around a Core 2 Duo (either a 2.6 or a 3.0GHz model, I believe they are called E6600 and E6750) - and with the help of some friends we are going to attempt to get it as close to 4GHz as we can, and we'll be starting off with just the Intel stock cooler. Should be interesting!

Just so I can say I have a 4GHz system!

Will probably be needing some advice so I will create my own thread when I start. As I am not very up on some things, especially what memory to choose.

But for when that article was made (2003) 5GHz from a P4.... It was legendary. (I still had a P3 at the time, I have a habit af catching up late!)

Ha ha had not spotted it was a 2003 article , but that makes it even more remarkable . I love those guys . Frozen pc's and solar pc's etc etc .

:D

I wonder when we'll hit the 10Ghz Barrier - it doesn't seem too far away now does it!

You've given me a great idea for a new thread ;)
