I keep getting 4319 error - a duplicate name has been detected on the TCP
network, and 8005 warning - the browser has received a server announcement
indicating that the computer <server name> is a master browser, but this
computer is not a master browser.

The name is not a duplicate nor is the ip. Everything is running fine except
for these errors.

This server is a W2k Server using SP4 with DNS,DHCP .
I have tried restarting the computer browser service with no improvement.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Frank

Does the machine have two NICs connected to the same network?

The NIC is disabled.

Is the answer yes or is the NIC disabled as you stated in the other post?

What machine is listed in the error?
If it is a workstation or non DC server you can disable the computer browser
service on it.
