Anyone else having problems with this newsreader? Suddenly it keeps
loosing servernames from the Settings / Servers,Identities...
settings. Nothing else seems affected.

Yeah Chris, I can't even get it to install on Vista and on my XP test
box it does the same, have not looked into it got better things to
worry about, works fine for most AFAIK but I ditched it and put Agent
in cos it works.

Now I know its not just me I will have another look tomorrow night,
actually I thought I had wiped the data using a beta privacy app I was
trying out so I was not that bothered at the time, maybe not?

Strangely after I uninstalled it and re-installed last night, this
morning it opened up with the old fonts/colours set up, which I
didn't get round to last night! Spooky!

If this erratic behaviour continues, I'll have to look elsewhere.

Goodness, I'd forgotten just how bad some of these news readers

Tried it again on Vista, got it installed but it keeps losing Data
after a reboot and needs setting up again. This is an improvement on
not installing at all, but still not exactly mindblowing. A number of
people seem to be fine with 40tude so I don't know wtf is going on
with it.

I will have another play with it later but TBO if things don't work
right for no good reason I think using something else till the next
version of 40tude appears.

Agent is old fashioned also but it works every time out of the box.

It seems to be one of these programs that puts all its data into the
program folder under /Program Files/ which of course mere user
accounts aren't allowed to write to.

What I've done is set up a folder under C:\Users\<username> called
StupidProgramTricks and install 40tude D. to that, instead of the
default. So far seems to work.

I couldn't do without the quote level colours, or the reformatting
features...
