404 error messages?

I remember working on a site a couple of years ago where I personalised
401/2/3/4 error messages, but can't remember how I did it!
Can anyone help?

If you have access to CPanel that's where you do it from. CPanel is a web
access control thingie for linux. Look for: Error Pages once you get in
there.

Thanks for that - It all comes back to me now - trouble is the port that
gives access to the control panel is blocked at work (some sort of security
issue) but I can do it from home!
