400 processes and still climbing...virus?

There are several .exe's that seem to be replicating themselves.
Over 400 running in 10 mins and still more. I can't get to my AVG
because cpu usage is 100%. Any one think this could be a virus?
Two of the exe's are: S6UU8602HS.EXE and 38S1402U3X.EXE

Please go to McAfee (http://www.mcafee.com/myapps/mfs/default.asp) and/or Trend
(http://housecall.antivirus.com ) and perform an online scan of your platform then report
back your results.

I started in safe mode and searched for the exe's.
They were in the prefetch folder. I deleted them and
then was able to start windows normally. AVG found
something that was called "startpage.L", if I
remember correctly. I deleted it right away so I'm
not sure. Everything seems fine now though.
I did go to trendmicro's site and their scan found
2 trojans "troj istbar.k" and "troj istrar.i"
