Hi,
I'm trying to setup a Win2k Server (standard) with 4 Gigs of ram, and have
SQL server on it.
My question is if Windows can only address 4 gigs, do I need a
swapfile--better yet will the swapfile even be noticed?
If so, what values do I use for setting up the virtual memory settings--will
windows do it correctly?
Final question-- if I do need a swap file, would I benefit from using it or
is 4 gigs too much overkill. I wondering if having a file that's 7 gigs
alot to search through (still talking about the pagefile)
Thanks alot!
Nina
