Driver Heaven, what a joke, entering the above just makes it go to the

loop of clicking links when using the Opera browser. It's my suspicion
too that Driver Heaven is a spyware haven if you are using an unsecure
browser. Use the below link for a direct download and no BS.

I got that link out of my download manager as I downloaded it last night.
don't know why it wouldn't have worked?

I get same thing with Opera at driverheaven.

Probably because I used a non-java and non-activeX web browser. I'm
sure I'm not the only one that does and the link I gave works in any
web browser. I got major spyware installed on my computer once because
I wanted to use Omega drivers and went to Omega's corner before
getting all my MS security updates first and I was using IE. Either
Omega's website put the spyware on my PC or Driver Heaven did because
I used the Driver Heaven link from Omega's site. I contacted Omega and
the first thing he asked was "did I go to Driver Heaven?". 'Nuff said.

Firebird seems pretty much OK with driverheaven.

The Driver Heaven page does do much but when I go to the actual Omega
page all hell breaks loose. Norton Anti-Virus goes nuts....nasty htm
code everywhere.

Yep, either don't go there or make sure your bowser is in lock down
mode. :-)

I just clicked the link on the omega page, and "flashget" caught the link
and downloaded the driver. I never had to go to driver heaven.

They have an anti-leach thing happening there. You probably had a current
cookie that allowed you to download, if you waited an hour you might have
been directed to the anti- leach page.
I'm right off Flashget. Spybot S&D disabled whatever program it uses that
downloads thier ads and the program seemed to work fine, but after 2 hours I
would start to get error messages and my machine would lock. Didn't
associate it with flashget, though it was a hardware failure, as pretty well
everything would crash in a serious way. Removed it and problem gone. Most
smart programmers would include error checking to disable program or notify
user.

Same thing happened to me looks they now want everyone to read their
adds ... this has put me off their drivers I am afraid no matter how
good they are.

I got the registered version and I have no problems what so ever. and I am
very aware of pc security, its my job.

I tried both the omegas and the stock 4.3's, updating from 4.1. The only
game I play on my 9800XT is IL2-FB.

The omegas wouldn't do AA at all for some reason, it just didn't work.
Both were slower than the stock 4.1s so I took them out and went back. When
I downgraded I had several issues with the machine and had to boot in vga
mode, run driver cleaner to take them out again, and reinstall. Everything
seems fine now.

YMMV
