After updating my system with the updates it appears that plugin.ocx version
6.0.2800.1106 was either altered or removed. Two days after the installation
I was not able to get into my custom MS Access 2003 database. The only thing
I can attribute the problem to was the Windows XP updates I recently
installed. Fortunately I was able to retrieve the file from a computer that
was not updated and the problem was corrected. MS - Please confirm this
condition. Thank you!

Hello Jim -- after installing Windows XP updates two nights ago I just
discovered this very same problem... but unlike you, I can't find a
copy of plugin.ocx anywhere. My custom MS Access 2003 database is
complaining loudly, simple =Date() functions are not working, then
un-installing and then re-installing Microsoft Office turned out to be
a complete waste of (precious) time. I'm a bit desperate for a
solution.

I'm working under deadline this holiday weekend and must find a
solution ASAP. Does ANYBODY have advice or a link to a step-by-step
solution?

Any assistance would be thoroughly appreciated... I'm under the gun and
need help badly.
