I installed Virtual Earth 3d and the 3d components only show up as blue
figures. Where can I find help with this? I reviewed the ten FAQs, been to
the forums, searched Microsoft's site and as usual got a zillion non related
returns.
Thanks

Hi,

Are you sure the area that you are looking at has been filmed for this? As I
understand it, only a handful of cities have been completed with more on the
way. It will take quite some time before the majority of the world is filmed
and input to the program.

Yes I am sure. I even selected the "tour" items.
My problem is that when I open and select the 3d map, the 3d objects are
represented by a blue silhouette and never fill in the object. I went
through the acceleration settings, FAQs, etc. to no avail. I am running XP
pro, IE7, 3.2 GHz P4 CPU, 1 mb ram. When I originally installed VE, I had my
default browser set to Firefox 2.0. I reset my browser to IE7, uninstalled
and reinstalled VE. I saved it to disk, ran it from the site all to no
avail. During the original installation, I also installed Live Local for
Outlook. This seems to be OK so I left it as is. I noticed the map was
taking a minute to load ( I have 768 kbps DSL) so I left it alone hoping the
objects would load but they did not. Thanks for your response.

Hi,

There is a bit on Help here:

I haven't messed with the program enough to give you a better response at
this point, but I would suspect it may be involved with your system allowing
the feed site to download and run the activeX controls required for the
program. You may need to add local.live.com to your trusted sites and enable
it to run the controls.
