I have tow 3Com Megahertz PC cards I can not get to work on my Micron
Transport ZX notebook after upgrading from Windows 98 to Windows 2000 Pro.

They were working fine under Windows 98 but I can not get the system to
recognize the modem card at all and the system seems to recognize the etherlink
card but it doesn't work to connect to my LAN.

The cards are a 56K WinModem PC Card model 3CXM356 and a 10/100 LAN CardBus PC
Card Model 3CCFE575BT. (I also have and tried a Fast Etherlink 16 bit PC Card
3C574-TX.

I have tried to find and download the latest drivers I could find for both of
these cards. I have tried to contact 3Com Megahertz for assistance but they
responded (twice) that both cards are no longer supported. Micron could only
advise to download the latest drivers or go back to Windows 98.

Any suggestions, ideas, thoughts, help? I would really like to get these
functioning again.

Trust me, NIC cards/modems are VERY cheap, go get new ones
compatable with w2k. or go back to win 98!

You may be right, I have seen some for around $135.00 that combine 10/100 LAN
cards with 56K modem cards. A couple I have found do not list Windows 2000 in
their list of OS so I would think I would run into the same problem.

Any one have any recommendations for type I-II pc card 56K modems that work
well (plug and play) under Windows 2000 or a combo card that has 10/100 LAN
and modem combined?
