Folks,

I bought a 3Com 3C905-TX ethernet card to set up a home network with.
However, I can't get it to install under XP. XP cannot find any drivers
for it. This card supposedly has native support built into XP. I've
also tried downloading drivers for it and pointing the add hardware
wizard to them, but, it doesn't recognize any of the drivers. I know
others have gotten this card to work - its supposed to be plug and play
under XP. What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks,

Does your mobo have an exclusive IRQ available for the card?

Have you downloaded and deployed the DOS test and setup program from
3Com?

ISTR that the first of the old 3C509 cards were real dogs and went
thru lots of engineering revs. Give it a try, and you'll
probably be fine, but keep it in mind if you cat't get it to work.
