I have a 3 com (3c905b)tx net card in a windows 2000 server.
Constantly the card starts to give the message that the network cable is
unplugged, then it gives the message that its plugged, and again gives the
message that its unplugged.....and so on .....and so on........
When i disable and enable again it starts to work fine again. after a few
hours it restarts to do the same.

Someone have a clue what its about.

I already change the cable.

Thanks
Nelson

That's an older card, what driver you runnin? Maybe update it?
Also, check the link speed\duplex mode (hint: don't use Auto)

Double-check to make sure you aren't using autosense anywhere - lock down
all NICs, server & workstation, at a specific speed & duplex setting, and if
you have managed switches, do the same there.

To be honest, I've given up on 3Com cards - especially in servers. Go out &
buy yourself a nice lil Intel Pro card, install it, and so many problems go
away.
