I am building a site which requires the ability to a 360 paroramic view or
tour of a room.
I have the technology to create a wide single image from a number of photos
but I don't know what technology is available to allow it to be viewed and
scrolled within frontpage 2003

If you going to hire someone to take the 360 panoramic views like for
instance http://tours.360house.com/viewer.cfm?ID=92408?
all they do is provide you with the link and you just put in on your
website. I don't know anything about doing the pictures yourself. I would
wonder about bandwidth considerations but I am no expert.

Hey Mike,
That is traditionally done using QuickTime from Apple. FP does not support
QT as far as I know. There are some other options out there for creating
those types of files which MAY be allowed within FP...you may just need to
hit the web and do some searching.

Mike, if you are still looking for an answer have a look at www.panorado.com.
They have plenty of info and if you already have the software to compile a
360 jpeg then they have an applet program to run it on your site. It also
has some cool features like being able to put hotspots on the virtual tour.
It is free if your site is non-profit but have a charge if it isn't, but for
$42 for up to 10 images it is not extortionate.
Hope this helps.
Keith.
