31 Dec 1969 error message

When trying to publish to the server I am getting the error saying, "
Server error: The page - -has been modified by (unknown) on 31 Dec 1969".
This is a new file that does not exist on the server and it will not allow
it to be published.

Any suggestions are appreciated!
