HI
appreciate any help here PLEASE......
I have set up a 3 workstation WinXP Pro workgroup.
PC1. Named Workshop can see and share files with RobUpstairs PC 2 and also
see files on the Downstairs PC 3
PC2. Named RobUpstairs can see and share files with Workhop PC only - cannot
see Downstairs PC3 at all
PC3. Named Downstairs sees neither of the other 2 PCS
They are linked via a Lynksys Router, which in turn is connected to a Seibel
ADSL modem.
All 3 PCs can get out to the internet
The Workgroup is named WORKGROUP on all PCS
The naming convention is abided by (no spaces under16 characters)
PC1 can ping PC2 and PC3
PC2 can ping PC1 only
PC3 can ping OUT to the intenet only
I have set Shared folders/files on all 3 the same
PC 1 is an older box (about 2 yrs old) XP Pro SP3, the two other boxes are
brand new Win XP PRo SP3.
I have checked cabling etc, and services and firewall settings and all
appear identical
What the heck am I missing?
Rgds
