i am new today to vista email, having used outlook express for years, and i
am lost...must 3 people using the same pc share all emails and contacts?

with outlook we each had our own screens and contact lists...can we not have
that with vista?

Windows Mail does not have the Identities feature that OE did...
You can create 3 separate Vista user accounts, then each user can have their
own settings, programs, and email.

Or, you can add the identities feature to Windows Mail by purchasing a
program written by a poster on here.

If one of the email accounts is a family account and we wanted the email to
be shared with three user accounts. Right now, who ever views the mail
first, is the only user who sees the email.

You can configure the accounts to leave the mail on the server, and delete
after a few days.. this will give each account the opportunity to download
the same email.

Tools, Accounts, select the family account, Properties, Advanced,
select "Leave a copy of messages on the server." Also select one
of the two 'remove' options. Do this for all three users.
