3 min boot time!

I have XP Pro with Netgear Wireless and 3Com 10/100. It takes FOREVER,
though I haven't timed it, to get the system started. It seems to be
these two network cards that are the problem.

I have turned off "search for new ??? & printers."


Could it be that I have my dialup doing DHCP for my wireless notebook?

In long boot situations where you can't put your finger on one or two
possible causes, and spyware isn't a factor, the only thing you can do is to
start turning things off, one by one, until you find the exact piece of
hardware or software that's the bottleneck. Start by unplugging one piece of
hardware at a time.

Thanks. I was thinking, after I posted, I might need to shut off the
wireless and see what that does.
