Check the documentation that came with the motherboard - for "Beep Codes".

1 beep indicates that the computer hardware is set up
correctly, however 3 beeps would mean that the hardware
is not correctly set up or there is an error somewhere.

Make sure all the leads are correctly plugged into the
back of the computer although this shouldnt be the problem

If you can open up the computer and check if all the
computer components are correctly pushed all the way into
the motherboard and that all their lead are correctly
plugged into them. It more than likely that there is a
loose connection somewhere.

If you have the operating manual of your motherboard,
then it could tell you what the 3 beeps is supposed to be
telling you.

The beep codes are generated by your computer during the Power-on Self
Test (POST). POST runs before the OS starts loading, so the problem
is NOT related to XP. Try looking in your MB manual for what that
particular beep code means. Still drawing a blank? Then take the
flippin' box to a computer service store and have it looked at.

The new ASUS boards
(like the P4P800) any USB
device you plug in. Will
also make a beep for each
USB device.
