I have a Dell Dim 4400 W/Pentium 1.8 GH processor and Win XP SP2. I have
been using a flash drive with no problems, drive G. I purchased a 2nd flash
drive and installed both. The new one was recognized immediately. It,
however was not available in either My Computer or Windows Explorer. I went
to the Computer Management Console-Disk Management and it was there, drive H.
I right clicked on the drive letter and selected Explore. The drive opened
and I could access the files therein. However, the drive letter H never has
been available in My Computer or Windows Explorer. Either flash drive will
work as drive G, but neither will work as Drive H, either by themselves or as
a 2nd flash drive. It is like any drive letter above G is not allowed. Does
anyone have a solution so I can use both drives at the same time?

Is TweakUI or similar software installed?

If yes, the display of the drive letter may be blocked by that program.
Check the program in use and reverse the current setting.

If no, you might try installing TweakUI and using it to make sure H: is
available. TweakUI for XP is one of the power toys that can be found here:

Sharon F You were right on target. I had forgotten I had Tweakui on this
machine. I owe you one. Thanks
