2nd Monitor Display

Hi

i recently tried to at another monitor to the computer so i could extend the
desktop, i know my computer is capable of it but i get no display on the
second device, i think it might be that i am using a normal television with
the yellow wire bit, if this is my problem then pls tell me if not can you
help

did you go to the display settings in the control panel, to enable the
second device?

Also, are you using the correct drivers for your video card?

yes and yes
 
have in mind the max resolution a tv can use is only 640x480
some can do 800x600

if you have more than 640x480 the tv may be just shutting off itself to
prevent damage.
