I don't know about twrenfroe51, but I'm having similar issues. When I
initially installed Vista (Ultimate 32bit) I was able to see my second HD and
installed several programs to it. Now, when I boot it it is not assigned a
drive letter. In Computer Managment it sees the 2nd physical drive, but
properties after right clicking on the drive is greyed out and the only
option is to delete the partition.
HD 1: WD Raptor 150 SATA, C: is Primary Partition.
HD 2: Segate 500GB SATA, D: was primary partition.
I am concerned that Vista won't accept a primary partition on the second
hard drive, but why did it work at first and then stop? Is there any way to
get it back without having to delete the partition and re-partitioning the
second drive wholly as an extended partition? Any help greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Twint
